Room was good value for the price. Flasher than I expected. Comfortable. Staff replied to e-mail and happily accommodated my late arrival. Simple booking system through the website with good comms.
Couple of things needed fixed in the room, which the proprietors may not have known about until I told them. Main light bulb blown and TV aerial wire did not attach properly.
It is located in a quiet area. Off-street parking offers save and secure parking for your car.
Bedlinen was not fresh/clean. Was advised via email that one of the two rooms that I had booked had been upgraded to a Queen and single, the other to remain Double. Had one room with a Queen and one room with a Double.
staff friendly, plenty of information, location was quiet. bed comforatble.
a bit tired in places , but ok for a short stay
The receptionist at the Waterfront was very good and understanding and did what she mentioned she would do. The hotel details at the website is wrong in the sense that the phone number is for Macquarie whereas the address is for Waterfront. The taxi rang the number and was told it is not Risdon and took me to the wrong hotel, worse still, Macquarie staff kept my luggage till 2pm. but only to realise then it was a person with name 'kahl" that book the room not Kaw. I then had to go to the Waterfront afterwards with yet another taxi. I told the receiptionist what I happened to me and she understood my frustration and ensure the next day's stay is problem free.
The toilet bowl bottom top was really stained and dirty, a drop of bleach would have done the job even if the cleaner cant clean properly. If you do that it will be much more pleasant.
The location is very peaceful, it is a bit far away from Hobart centre but coming from Melbourne city, we did not mind to be in isolation and it was just for 2 nights. Longer would have been annoying.
Our room did not have any spa. Why would you call it a spa room if there is no spa. When we checked in, our booking was not in the system, and I booked it online 2 months before and I had a print out confirmation and number. The lady was nice and gave us another room, however, the booking was not in the system. There were not many people to help us. When we left, we could not check out. We had to leave the key at reception and a message. Nobody was there and it was 10am. There was a sign saying that, due to Easter, the reception would open at 10am instead of 8am, but we did not know until that morning. We waited until 10.20am and nobody arrived. We understand it was Easter day, but this is a hospitality business.
It is convenient and comfortable at a good price.
The fact that beds were not made and room not vacuumed during a 3 night overnight stay
Rooms are self contained, but cutlery, plates etc were sparse. Although we did have access to a kitchen with hotplates in seperate kitchen.
Parking was poor, rooms very small. Budget motel, you get what you pay for.
My best time was spent away from the lodge on tours and shopping
The management does not exist or they have no interest in the lodge..Requests for clean towels, coffee, tea, and milk were ignored. We had to purchase our own coffee, tea and milk.
Lack of sufficient parking. Room close to communal kitchen (smell and noise). Room above communal laundry (noise)
staff didnt have room ready by agreed time. room wasnt made when asked. had to get own towels to replace wet ones during rain.
I liked everything about the Leisure Inn Waterfront Lodge. It was so nice to stay in a place that was so clean and tidy well maintained .overall it was a great place to stay.
not bad. surprisingly very comfort and nice with the amount of money we paid.
sound-proofing not really good.
large comfortable bed
situation of luxury spa rooms. downstairs and looks on to a carpark and banking
Clean, firm bed. Decent shower, clean bathroom.
Checkin closes at 7pm (or earlier?)! There is a phone to call for 'after hours' checkin, but they answer only occasionally. We called 5 times over a couple of hours elapsed time, finally getting an answer telling us the key was in a box on the wall.
The room was spacious and the views from the window were good.
The car parking was a problem when the hotel was full
